Chili Dog Casserole

Updated: Mar 6, 2020

Ingredients

2  small cans of Hormel Turkey Chili w/ beans

4 Frozen Corn Dogs cut into rings

1 small bag of Great Value Crinkle French Fries or your favorite french fries

2 Tablespoons of Butter

1/4 cup of water

a couple dashes of Miguel's All-Purpose Seasoning

a pinch of salt

a couple pinches of black pepper

a couple dashes of ground cumin

3 teaspoons of chili powder

1 teaspoon of sugar

sour cream or cream cheese (optional)

Mozzarella and Monterey Jack Shredded Cheese

Tools

Small Saucepot

11x7 baking dish

Spoon to stir chili

1. Pour your chili into a small saucepot and allow it heat up at medium heat for 5 minutes. Follow the instructions on how to make your french fries and your corn dogs, just make sure that your corn dogs are cut into rings. I like to put the corn dogs back in the over for 8-10 minutes to crisp them up.

2. Next, add your butter, water and seasonings, be sure to taste your chili and add more seasoning to your liking. Allow your chili mixture to cook for 10 more minutes on medium heat just to ensure allow all your seasonings to marry.

3. Now its time to start layering your casserole! Start by putting an even layer of french fries then a couple of corn dogs, cheese, chili, REPEAT. On the top I like to sprinkle more cheese then I love to dollop of sour cream you don't have to, BUT I love the creaminess the texture is just superb! Bake at 350*F for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is nice and bubbly and everything is heated through perfectly! This is super easy and your can make double this size if you are having your kids friends over for lunch or dinner!
