Homemade Pretzels

Short Story: I've made Pretzels for a couple of years now, and I absolutely LOVE them. I know, I know I already have a recipe for Soft Pretzels, but I really wanted to show you the versatility of my Standard Bread Dough that you can TRULY make ANYTHING that calls for Bread Dough! :) What are some recipes that call for bread dough would you like to see next? Maybe sandwich bread? What about homemade pizza?! Message me and let me know and I will get in the kitchen so that you can have a go to recipe in your repertoire! :D Here's the link to the video if you want a step-by-step! Recipe

3 cups of Bread Flour

1 1/2 cups of All Purpose Flour

1 1/2 cups of warm water

1/4 cup of vegetable oil

1 package of (fast acting) yeast with 3 teaspoons of granulated sugar

1 cup of granulated sugar

1 teaspoon of salt

extra flour to roll out dough

extra oil

1. Pour in the dry ingredients into the bowl of your stand mixer, along with the oil and the yeast/water mixture. Then, mix dough until it forms a nice ball shape then turn onto a medium speed for about five minutes or until nice and smooth.

2. Remove from bowl, sprinkle flour on your work surface and just gently bring dough together. Brush the inside of that same bowl with oil, cover with plastic wrap, then let dough rise for an hour or until doubled in size.

3. Flour your hands with flour then punch the dough down, then remove dough from bowl roll into sort of a log shape then cut the desire size of your pretzels. Roll the dough piece into log, shape into a pretzel then set aside to rise for another 30 minutes or until double in size!

Baking Soda Solution Solution:

2 Cups of water

1 ½ tablespoons baking soda

(also prepare a egg wash 1 egg with a tablespoon of milk, water, or cream)

Let come to a small boil, then set aside for 30 minutes until slightly warm not hot.

Brush the baking soda solution along with the egg wash onto your pretzels then bake pretzels at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes or until golden brown!

Enjoy!
