Maple Snickerdoodle Cookies

Snickerdoodles are such classic cookies, and I have always wanted to make my very own homemade version. I actually put this is my ebook, "Miguel's Kitchen| Official Baker's Guide Vol. 1(Click here to check it out!),"on Amazon last year, because this recipe was SUCH a hit in my home! I didn't want to take away or add too much to the flavorful cookie, but I only wanted to enhance the flavors without completely overpowering the cookie. The ingredient, maple syrup, will have your friends and family asking, "What's in this cookie?" They truly bring comfort and satisfaction, you'll sure be wanting to share this with your significant other!I present to you my Maple Snickerdoodle Cookies!

These cookies are simple to make and take absolutely NO time to put together AND bake off! Here are the ingredients!

INGREDIENTS

1 stick + 2 tablespoons of butter, softened(salted or unsalted)

2 ½ teaspoons of maple syrup

1 ¼ cups of granulated sugar

2 eggs

2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract

2 ½ cups of All-Purpose flour

1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder

3/4 teaspoons of baking soda

½ teaspoon of  salt

A dash of ground cinnamon

Cinnamon sugar(1 cup granulated sugar + 2 teaspoons of ground cinnamon)

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place parchment paper on your baking sheet then set aside(no need to butter or spray non-stick spray they pop right off the parchment paper!) Using your rubber spatula press and cream butter and sugar in your mixing bowl until it is fully combined and fluffy. Next, add in the eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla extract ensure that they are completely incorporated into the butter mixture.

2.In a separate bowl, stir together the dry ingredients: flour, salt, dash of ground cinnamon, baking powder and soda. Fold in the dry a half of the flour mixture at a time until the batter reaches a thick consistency, and soft to the touch.

3. Scoop out the cookie dough with your cookie scoop and roll gently into the cinnamon sugar. Then place then onto your cookie sheet, then slightly press down forming into a circle.

4. Then bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly golden brown. Remember to start on the bottom and work you way up! For this recipe I cook the cookies for half the time on the bottom, then the rest on of the time on the top rack of my oven. When they come out of the oven while they are still warm I like to dip the tops in the cinnamon sugar to give a little extra cinnamon sugar. :D

-Enjoy!-
